    Help Please!!

A couple of months ago i installed a MS4 cam on my 99 TA. Since i installed it i have drove it maybe 2000 miles if not less. The car was tuned by TSP. I have noticed that ever since i installed the cam when i go to the rear of the car it smells alot like gas. And i mean alot. This is the first car that i have ever fixed up so don't know much. Now the question is. Is it normal that it smells alot like gas?

Are you running cats? If not, it's not unusual to have a smell from the exhaust. You aren't leaking gas either, are you?

Do you notice black smoke from the exhaust? Depending on the tune, you could be running rich.

No i haven't noticed any black smoke. My first thought was that i was running rich, but didn't really know how to go about that. If i am running rich what could i do to fix the problem?

    I asked the usual questions:

    list all mods pls.

Whens the last time your MAF has been cleaned?

Have you done anything to the car since the cam install & tune?

Mods are: MS4 cam, long tube headers, port n polished throttle body, air lid, 3.73 gears, TSP tune.

The last time i cleaned my MAF was about a year ago, and i haven't done anything to the car since the cam install.

Are the O2s the original with extensions or did you install new ones? You could also go to your local auto store to have them check for any codes that haven't popped up yet.

You might look into swapping those for the Bosch 13111s. Could be getting false a/f readings.

I'd do a general tune up too. Clean the maf, change plugs, fuel filter, ect., if it hasn't been done recently. Couldn't hurt.
