help my car is f**ked!!!
i recently put a 383 stroker in my 97 trans am. i have not had a problem with it yet. "just replaced some hoses". i took it to minake to have a weld done on mt headers. instead of the sleeve. well he welded it and i turned it on to see if it had any other leaks. it ran for about 1 min and shut off no spuder nothing like the key was turned. i had my uncle come look at it. when i started it up it would not go over 500 rpms. like it was running on 2-3 cyl. it blew a fuse and i replaced the crank position sensor. it ran like a champ!! i drove it for 2 days and then the same thing happened again. but no blown fuse. i know my car is rich and i need a tune but it was fine until he welded on it. by the way he didnt disconnect the battery. please help i need any suggestions.

Oh man I'm sorry to hear that...yup....it really sounds like he toasted your PCM....sometimes they will get a blast and die a slow death over a few hours of operation.....he should have disconnected the battery....that's basic stuff....your entire electrical system got a big jolt...thus your crank sensor/fuse experiance....and now your PCM does appear to be toast.....just about every electrical component is now weakened....Call Allen.....he is just next door to you here in San Antonio.....he has lots of PCM's ready to go.... www.nelsonperformance.com ....sorry about being the bearer of bad news....but I really think that guy killed your PCM...
