Help me pick a convertor for my ta

I have a 1999 TA with Longtube headers o/r y pipe GMMG catback, ls6 intake,P&P TB, slp lid, and I am looking to replace my stock convertor with a new one. I am thinking of a yank 3600 but not sure. I dont drive the car much just to local shows/cruise nights and will eventually get it up to the track. Also what size convertor should I go with 9.5 inch or bigger? thanks

Well, I'm no converter expert, but you can chek my sig to see what I have. I like my SY 3500 stall, which should be close to 3600 (can't recall diameter size).

It's most definitely still very streetable and does well at the track. I've had it in so long now I forget I even did a stall and sometimes I wish for a change. Took my 14 hours to do on my own, in my garage on stands... don't want to do that again unless it breaks.

a 3,600 should work great for you.
after its in get a tune and drop or delete your torque management, lower shift delays and shift points/ pressures.
most important thing you NEED to do with a stall is get a tranny cooler!

I also would replace the stock flexplate with a TCI SF29 race grade unit, you need to remove 3 bolts anyway to change the converter, you might as well pull the remaing bolts and change the flexplate while you are in there.

    Jeg's sells the unit.
