Help me figure out this noise before my engine goes boom!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=IGgnHGLucng
It started doing this last night, its coming from the front area/upper exhaust/possibly lifter area. Only makes the noise on a decline in revs, cruising and idling it doesn't make the noise, but does if I get on it.
Noticed mosture in the oil after checking the cap, but I see this all the time with winter season, so doesn't really have me worried with a headgasket or anything, antifreeze is full, oil looked decent. Flushed the oil, and changed it, noise is still there.
Any ideas?

I have no idea, maybe a exhaust leak by the flange.

Moister in the oil as in it has a white tint to it?
You possibly have blew a head gasket and its blowing compression out between the head and the block causing the noise...

never heard that one either. Was the oil chocolate looking at all? I suppose it could be a head gasket although I've never heard one do that. I would rule out the exhaust first. You can't narrow it down closer to an area such as a cylinder? My gut would tell me it's exhaust so I would work on that first. Check around the manifold really well and the air tubes. Make sure all gaskets are good and that a manifold isn't cracked. Look at the base of the air tube for cracks.

I guess some info about the car would help. First off the oil was that normal yellowish look when water gets to it, typical in the winter on dodges so that doesn't really concern me.
As for the car, it has paceseeter LTs, ory, cat-back, lid, and tune. So I'm imagining a header bolt backed out or something, gonna snug them all back up tommorow, and will report back then.

sounds like exhaust leaking from the a.i.r. system possibly a check valve burnt out then burnt through a hose

You know, a bolt did rattle out after the headers like 3 days after, but it never made a noise. Maybe its finnaly leaking, I'll have to check that. Would that possibly cause a lean code aswell? I tossed one last night somehow, but after erasing, it hasn't come back up.

Which header gaskets are you using? Sounds almost like a leak, although it is a different sound.

a leak in the exhaust prior to a front O2 would make it show lean. Was it the same side? what code was it?

It almost sounds like a bad pulley to me. You can try taking the belt off and start the car, you'll know right away of thats the culprit.
