have you tried to cycle the key on and off a couple of times before starting it? A $20 pressure gauge will either rule out or confirm the pump in about 60 seconds.

Like I told you before, try replacing the 'starter' and 'ignition' relays. This was the exact same malfunction symptoms I experienced and that was my $20 fix.

This scenerio almost sounds to me like an intermittent cam sensor signal. If the PCM can't get a good reading from the cam signal, it can result in extended crank time, because it doesn't know what stroke the engine is on, but it still has crank position for reference.

No check engine light I'm assuming??

nope but the cars been tuned so im not sure if that would effect the light turning on for certain sensors..ill swap the relays out tomorrow and see how that goes..

Wesman suggestion about the cam sensor is a good idea.

As mentioned ealier, did you check your fuel and ignition relays?? They will click and sound like they're working when they really arent!! My car was doing what yours is,it turned out to be the ignition relay-$11 and alot of frustration solved!!

You mention that the pressure is at 58 psi. It is 58 psi as soon as you turn the key on or slowly goes up?

I had a leak in my fuel hose inside the tank causing the car to start after like 5 seconds or sometimes more. Does it looks like this on the fuel gauge on the 1st try of the key?

This one is from the car cranking
