Do not waste your money on suspension parts. The only thing I would get is SFC's. You state it will not see the track. The stock suspension parts will get you in the 11's and 10's. But you have stated it will not be a track car. Also the aftermarket suspension parts add weight. Use the money that you were going to use on the suspension for other parts.

Weakest drive train part on a ls1 f-body is the rear end.if I were you I would call strange and order a 12 bolt, first.then I would get some subframe connectors and put them on before the body flex can permanently twist the body of your car.

You WILL need a new rear. Once you start tearing into the engine, you will not be able to keep your foot out of it. Stock rear have been known to break with stock power taking off after idle.

New rear- $2200 (give or take, depends on your set up)
Headers ,ORY, Catted Y- $1000 (again depends on your brand)
    FAST 90/90- $1200-1500

Thats only 3 mods and if you cant install it by yourself, say bye bye to the remaining $$.

Everyone that keeps quoting the FAST 90/90 does realize that that set-up is no longer available right?

It is now a FAST 102mm.

If you want the FAST 90/90 you have to buy it used or find a seller that still carries them from old inventory.

How does not going to the track have anything to do with wanting "stout" suspension components such as aftermarket LCA's or a Torque Arm?

These items help you plant the power to the ground regardless of if you're at the track or on the street. I'd also have to disagree on the weight. I removed my stock torque arm. It weighs a ton. I don't think that the aftermarket one I bought is much heavier, if at all, and it is 10X stronger and also allows me to make adjustments.

The fact that he is lowered should cry out that he needs an aftermarket adjustable TA just to get his pinion angle back to being correct. A wrong pinion angle is not only going to hurt him hooking up, but it can also damage the drive line components...correct?

I've seen cracked stock torque arms on much less than 450rwhp cars that saw very minimal track time.

Exactly. If the entire drive line isn't in a straight line when all of the torque is going through it, you can seriously mess something up. You'd be surprised how much difference even a 1/2 degree makes.

I know he isn't going for a track car, but just as an example, somewhere over on tech cut his 60' time by .2 seconds just by adjusting his pinion angle.

$300 bucks for a FAST intake and TB?? Cant be, thats how much a used LS6 intake goes for. I was quoting new prices. The intake alone is about 8-900 new and throw in a couple hundred more for a TB.

I think most tracks require you to have a DS Saftey loop, at least most of them around her if your running a certain time.

i seen new ones as well and they were no where near that price, like i said a 102 are going cheaper

and yes it was a used FAST 90/90 for $300 NOW there are not that many that sell for that price but you see them every now and then, the most ill pay for a used 90/90 is $600-700, b/c with a little more money i can get a 102, i have read that they have ported a 90 to out flow a 102

i had a friend looking for a 90/90 a while back and i found 3 or 4 of them on tech for $400-650 and i think one what was new for less then $700

SFC, Tracklinc, rear end girdle, Tower Brace, upgrade clutch and you still will have 4K
    for head and cam package.

I went with a S/C and a few more suspension mods myself. Now I'm going to bump the power with different pulley and head/cam package.

At 600HP I'll be upgrading the rear end. I want to see 10's not 11's anymore.... ;-)

    Never enough power....
