    Help! Header Install Problems!

okay guys i need your advice.

i was doing my shorty header install with a buddy of mine. We got done with the driver side easy in about 4hrs. no problems their!

Then we got to the passenger side. I pulled out all the necessary things (manifold, oil dipstick, etc. ) to get to the bolts that hold the headers.

I got the first 5 bolts that held it but i could not for the life of me get the last 1 right by the #8 spark plug! I tried the bottom, came to the top nothing.
when i grabbed the headers that i had from edelbrock i noticed that the end did not match my existing exhaust?

    http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_...s_shorty.shtml
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

that is the one that i dont have which would go right in with the existing crossover pipe.

the headers i have have a round end, when i bought them they told me it was for a 98- 99 camaro..
should i worry ..or do i just need to have someone install and use mig welding to cut and weld on the new header?

2nd ...i used a screw loosener something similar to wd40 ....i bought autozone spray lubricant for screws. i sprayed it on the bolt that was right next to spark plug #8. ...

so the end was i was left with one side done the driver side and the other side not done! (is that a problem???????)
and when i turned on the car ...there was a lot of smoke coming out of the passenger side area...would it be the lubricant i sprayed earlier today???

    help!

    thanxs

those are bolts, not nuts you are removing there. i got mine from the bottom of the car, as far as the stuff not matching up...beats me. and the smoke is probaby from the lube you used. sorry for such an half ass answer.
