check fuses on the side between the door and the dash?

IIRC there is a ground point next to the spot it it the nut is not tighten down it would effect those gauges.

I has to be a fuse or a relay. A bad ground will still give you some reading but a blown fuse or relay will kill all activity.

Agree. If you can't find the issue, post back up and I'll get my service manual out and take a look for you.

Yes I did check fuse box first thing. I will check again but I not sure about relay's. Where are they located? Thanks for the help.

There are fuses situate in both the underhood box and on the end of the dash, driver side. You'll need to check both. Relays are primarily underhood, but I doubt any of the gauges are run through those.

Correct. There is a fuse which controls the instrument gauge cluster. Most likely yours is blown. It is located on the driver side of the dash in that compartment. I am almost positive it is run off of the same fuse as the cig/accy, which is fuse #11. try checking that one and seeing if it's blown. It's a 25A fuse. If not, it may be #7.

Ok.... the gauge fuse controls the rest of cluster. Fuse #11 & #7 are working fine. I did check fuses underhood but don't think any are tied into my problem. I even looked at the chassis electrical diagram in my haynes manual. Also my "service vehicle" light came on at same time. Not SES light.

So now I was going down freeway.... and car starts running like shit. Pull off next exit, it shuts itself down & is steaming. Open the hood and the radiator cap is gone along with most of the fluid. Now I would have known it was over heating if the gauge worked & I would have stopped sooner. So I am replacing water pump (myself) & will take it to my mechanic to fix the gauges. I will let you guys know what it ended up being. Thanks for trying to help me anyway.
