help with flooding problem

every once in a while when i go to restart my car it seems like it is flooded.
it will start fine,but will bog very badly until i push in the clutch and rev it high a couple of times,then it will run absolutely perfect. this doesn't happen all the time,but does happen once in a while.it's a 2000 z28 with m6,also there are no fault codes.any thoughts?

any mods done to the car and does it do it when the cars cold/warm or both? Also, probably not a good idea to hard rev your engine unless it's fully warmed up. Fairly hard on them if they're cold.

mine was sputtering under 2500 rpm, I cleaned the t-body and Idle control valve, runs like a champ again.
