the pads should only fit on one way. in other words...the inside pads will only fit on the insides and the outside pads will only fit on the outsides. as far as the squeal tabs are concerned there is a "proper" way that they should go on there although the pads will fit on in the reverse order...they will fit with the squeal tabs fitting either facing to the front or the rear of the car. in any event...the position of the squeal tab won't make any difference in this instance as they only make noise if they are actually making contact with the rotor when you apply the brakes.
as you have taken everything apart, checked, cleaned, and relubed everything appropriately i would have to conclude that what you are looking at with the noise is simply the nature of the carbon-metallic pads. they're just goin to make noise during normal operation unless you get a lot of heat into them...which you are doing a lot of stop and go driving during the summer may happen...but it may not.

after asking a few others with the same pads, they have had no complaints of noise. and what i dont get is if the noise goes away when they heat up, why is their no noise when they are coolest right when i start driving the car?

i'm not sure. where did you get them from and how long ago? i'd see if you couldn't take them back and say that you aren't happy with them and get a different set of pads...ceramic rather than carbon-metallic perhaps.

Well due to frustration i re greased both fronts again, placing the pad with the indicator on the inside, and ground down a little bit of the clips. I dont know which one fixed it, but no more noise!!!!! Thanks for all your help, especially 1milecrash

that's one of the biggest reasons i don't like buying this like that online. in the past i had issues with brake pads or rotors...manufacturing defects or wasn't happy with them after a couple days and having purchased them locally i took them back and was able to get either new pads or at least my money back. but i like to be able to go in and talk with the people i get my parts from...even if the price is a little higher to me it's worth it to be able to work face to face with them.
