    Angry Help

    HEy guys i just received my 98-02 LS1 Whisper Motorsports Airbox Lid and....IT DOSENT FIT. It wont latch, plz help i'm sooo pissed right now

    Speedtek lids don't latch well either... have to push them back really hard and tuck the lid behind the front lip of the box...

    A friend of mine got one and it took 2 people to put it in. What a pain in the ass!

    most all lids are a bear to get latched until you get them figured out. Make sure the lid is seated all the way into the bellows and the tabs are into the slots.

    what do you mean seated into the bellows??? it fits flush on top

    Push it hard all the way back into the tabs, and make sure the lower lip of the lid (between the clamps) is inside the upper lip of the air box. Installuniversity.com has a whisper lid install article.

    On my SLP lid I had to cut about a 1/2 in off the back of the bellows for it to close right.

    OMG....... i feel like a total dumbass.....i called tech support at WS6 store and he explained it better than those stupid ass directions....i Thought it mounted flush all the way around.....that is were i fucked up. I went out side and pushed the front lip into the bellow and they clamped right on....oooo and by the way guys I got my Z06 wheels today too and they kik ass i'll post pic's this weekend...thanks soooo much guy's for all the help

    need us to tell you which way those wheels go on????

    glad you got it fixed and you're not the only one to have problems with the lid. I think most people probably do their first time.
