headlights on/ gauge lights off wtf ????

If I turn the head lights or even just the running lights on, then the interior lights will go off. My gauge lights, radio lights, and my odometer screen light all go off. Now when i have the ignition on everything is normal. The odometer screen lights up and my warning lights all work.
I pretty much checked all the fuses on the inside fuse box. everything checks out ok. Any good ideas. ?????

Is the dashlight dimmer all the way down?

Is there a fuse in the dimmer switch spot in the fuse panel inside the car? I think its a 5 amp.

figured out what it was. and ill just say " check the obvious 1 st. " lol i had taking out the gauge cluster and when i installed it i must of bumped the switch. lessons learned
