    Headlight issues

Well I forgot to mention this when discussing the problems my Trans Am has in an earlier thread, I'm also having problems with the brights on my headlights. Sometimes, after driving with them on for a while (30 minutes or so) they will turn off or flicker on and off. As you can imagine, this is can be a somewhat hazardous situation as I will be driving along in the dark and suddenly have no headlights. If I turn the headlights off and then back on again the brights will work once more, for a while anyways until they turn off again. It is only the brights that do this, I have no problems with any other lights on the car. I noticed that when the brights go out, the orange running lights are still functioning properly. Any idea what could be wrong or what to check first to fix this?

Check the headlight relay. Change it with something else and see if that fixes the problem.

Where can I get a replacement relay? If its not too expensive I'll just install a new one and see if that works.

Any auto parts store should have one. Just bring in the old one to match up.

Just pull out the relay and take it to the parts counter at your local parts store (Napa, Autozone, etc) or a GM dealership. They should be able to match it up for you.
