Bright Rally Red- 2001 Chevy Camaro Z28
Headlight help....bad fit or needs adjusting?
I recently bought a OEM headlight housing for the passenger side of my '01 Camaro Z28. I got it installed without any issues, however, once installed, I realized it did not fit the way the original housing did. There is a decent gap between the housing and the front bumper (inner part). Also, the opposite corner of the housing near the fender is practically flush with the fender and doesn't seem to fit right. Is there an adjustment I can make so that it fits properly? I might add that there was only one screw I removed on the housing, even though I believe there should have been two.

Well, I got to looking at the new headlight tonight before I went to work and realized that there are two adjustment screws that I should have played with. I'll take the old light out again soon and give it another go.

I have the same problen with my halo's. I think that even with adjusting, it may just fit that way. I have played an played with mine but if I get them flush my headlights dont shine far enough (some light shining on the bumper). Just takes a shit load of adjusting I think.

I'm hoping since it's supposed to be an OEM replacement that I can get it to fit just like the old one did. I'll keep you guys posted.

With an OEM replacement, you should be able to. Although, even those aren't the best design IMO.

No, they aren't. The rubber seal around the housing is different than the original, for one thing, which is a pain when trying to install the housing because it gets hung up on the bumper and edge of the fender.

Just another reason why I prefer the classics. Far too much plastic on cars today
