    Header Install

Just a quick question. Does anybody know of a good exhaust shop in the northern TN southern KY area that would install headers on a '99 Z28. I live in Clarksville, TN and the shops around here either won't do it or never have so I don't want to go to someone who has never done it before. Any info would be a big help. Thanks

Check your local auto repair places. Sometimes you can find places that will install headers. The problem is, that since our cats are replaced/moved by the headers it's actually illegal for a shop to do. Someone will, or you can install them and get an exhaust shop to hook them up afterward. Here's a good install guide http://www.geocities.com/foff667/98Camaropg4.html

Keep looking... SOMEONE around there will/can do it... Take it from me, I looked for 3 months (In central Missouri) for someone to do my LT's and exhaust (called Everyone in the phone book!). I finally found a shop 20 miles away (that was unlisted) that did exhaust work for shops in the surrounding 3 counties! He did an excellant job, and only charged me $450 to install my LT's AND fab me some True Duals that run OVER the axle!

Just start askin' around: Who is the "Exhaust Guy" around here...

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't have to look any farther then my unit. One of the guys in my company used to work on LS1's before he came in the military. All I had to do was ask the right people.
