Having some trouble starting !
Hey guys, Have a 2000 ws6 with 32,000 miles on it. The car is always in the garage and usually take it out at least every other week. went out yesterday to start it the engine would turn over fine but didn't fire up. Two more attempts and it started, drove it for 20 minutes and it ran perfect - parked it for 10 minutes and wouldn't fire up again.
I checked the compartment and all looked fine. for the heck of it sprayed a tiny bit of starting fluid near the filter and it cranked right up and ran perfect again.
What do you guys think - fuel regulator - injectors - fuel pump at start up - or just a stupid sensor that always goes bad ? Any help would be appreciated and I thank you in advance.

I would check fuel pressure and go from there. EFI is sensitive to fuel pressure (at least the lack of it).
Have you checked for any trouble codes?

Sounds like bad fuel or water in the fuel
Sounds like bad fuel or water in the fuel (condensation). If you ONLY use the vehicle a few times a month I would definitely use a fuel stabilizing treatment. Like Stabil, just like in the commercial. Last year I used it in all my equipment lawn mower, chain saw, weed whacker, blower, etc. Then in the Spring EVERYTHING fired right up. In years past I DID NOT use a fuel stabilizer and what a pain the a*s it was to start stuff in the Spring.
