    Have a question

Hi, I have a 98 camaro with the v6 in it, I was wondering what all i have to do to put an ls1 in it. Do i have to swap k members or will the v6 one work, I know i have to get a new engine harness along with a tranny, but do i have to do anything with the inside of the car or is it the same between them all.

If someone could help me with this it would be great, Thanks

Tell you what man Id say you would be money ahead just to buy a high mileage ls1. And sell your v6. you will be a lot happier. Its a losing deal trying to swap a ls1 into a v6, because in the end after things are all said and done it will still say v6 on title and you will be out a lot of money whenever you sell it. The only good thing about the swap is insurance.

honestly im deff. gonna go with these guys when they say just buy an ls1. its ssooooo much hassel to put a motor in a car, and going from v6 to ls1...eh i wouldnt even bother, id go out and buy a z28 (since you could prolly find one for not that much $$$)

You can find ls1s pretty cheap, but most likely its going to be an automatic with high miles. I found a 1998 WS6 for 4900 bucks but it was a a4 with 141,000 on it... Still better of getting something like that than swapping.
