Black- 1998 Firebird Formula
Guys i need help asap please !!!!
Ok so heres the problem i have a 98 firebird formula A4
with-----
40,000 miles
Headers
slp intake,
ORY
Magnaflow
Frost Tune
and i realized the other day that it was running kinda choppy then my light came on code P307 and the car smelled EXTREMLY rich! it was misfireing in cylinder 7 so i changed the coil pack the wire, the plug still ran like shit especially when i was sitting at a light it felt as if it was stutering
so im pretty sure its the fuel injector its staying open and just dumping into the cylinder!
what fuel injectors should i get? i only want to replace the one with a stock 28 lb injector, and autozone has a single Bosch for 129.99 or what size injector can i upgrade to without changing the fuel pump? what do you guys think?
also any write ups on how to take off the fuel rails and replace fuel injectors?
any help would be appreciated
thanks guys
i can always count on ls1.com!!!!!!

you can upgrade quite a bit without changing your fuel pump anything around 60lbs or higher is where u start to look at changing the pump if your planning on running more mods (cam, heads, etc) you might as well spend 330 on a set of racetronix 42lbs or whichever brand you choose all around the same price. better than spending 130 on just one (stock replacement) injector

Well I don't think I'll be putting in a cam or heads the only other work that will be possible going into the car is ls6 intake manifold, gears and rear end work what's the best size injectors to put in with my current mods and would I need to send it back out for another tune? If so where can I get a good set of stock injectors for a good price?

price wise for a full set of 37lbs injectors from texas speed for 280 which i dont think u will require a tune it might be beneficial to get one however

for stock ones they have them for 40 each on rockauto.com but that is for a reman injector but it beats 130 for a bosch

rcorte3001 if you just have a bad injector and wanna replace it, then just look for a used stock replacement. try junkyard or check the For Sale section for someone selling theirs because they upgraded

No need to replace all the injector o-rings. Smear a little clean motor oil on the o-rings to make assembly easy.
lance, I'm still on a 10 bolt.

The injector may not fix the misfire.
A compression test should be performed first.
