I'm terrible at these games but I would say 360ish to the wheels maybe?

im guessing close to 385-395rwhp cause its rated at 385 then you add drivetrain lose which puts it around 350s if its a M6 then add LTs which put it at 370ish then add lid and cold air which puts it around 380+ then with the gears and stall with the tune and the cars running good then that sounds about right

350 through your stalled auto and 12-bolt, 355 on a good day.

And this is with a locked converter, lower if left unlocked.

Even lower if you still have stock LS1 tuning in the PCM (too much timing up top, KNOCK) and even lower numbers with a canned predator toon that cranks the timing up even higher.

LS6 is in the '01-'04 ZO6's right? With the earlier being 385 hp, and the latter being 405 I believe?

I was at the Hot Rod Power Tour in Rochester MN a few weeks ago and there was a completely bone stock ZO6 up on the chassis dyno they had there. He was only able to muster 333 rwhp. I'd say you'll be 370-ish to the wheels.

you guys that are throwing him big numbers and getting his hopes up artificially do realize that:

    1. LS6's only came in Z06s which are MANUAL TRANS CARS
    2. They don't make 370 stock in the vette WITH the manual trans
    3. The poster has a STALLED AUTOMATIC
    4. Vettes have a lightweight center rear diff
    5. The poster has HEAVY 12 BOLT....

its a 405 hp ls6 from gm performance if that clears up any confusion. I did some checking and stock Z06's usually dyno'ed at around 360 rwhp on average. I dont really care what the numbers are, I expected lower numbers cause of the stall. just curious. Its the numbers at the track that really matter. That being said, what you think ill run at the track? My best before the swap was 7.9 in the 1/8th.

since you ran 7.90's before the swap in the 1/8, it sounds like you already had 370+ horsepower to the wheels

How much does your car weigh with you in it?

I have no idea. keep in mind that 370 would be like theoretical HP, not actual. Meaning by the math say it takes 370 hp to get x weight car down the track in 7.9. But you have to take into account that the stall helped to get the low e.t. so I could get there with lower hp. I dont know, I've heard it explained close to that and it sounds good in my head then you take into account that a stall is a torque multiplier.....

I know I'd be able to give you a better guess with the weight of the car with you in it. These "theoretical" numbers are used on cars much faster than yours, and are pretty damn close.

Until then - it is what it is - I say take it to the track once it's tuned!

what do our cars weigh stock? I wasnt saying that they werent accurate, you just have to take into account the stall. and I cant wait to take it to that track...hope my e.t. streets arent dry rotted...

I believe them to be about 3,400-3,500 pounds.

I have a Nova with a 4,500 stall and the calculations are still very close. That's why I'm asking.

ah ok, well I weighed about 200-210 at that time and have a fiberglass hood and no rear seats. so 3600-3650? more or less? glad to hear the calculations are close with the stall.

You need to have your PCM updated for the LS6 or it's going to knock a good bit. 99 f-bodies had very high timing from the factory, and that LS6 won't like it.

Ok, so let's use 3,650 for the worst case?

    I went here: http://www.nationaldrivetrain.com/calcs/dragcalc.html

and I used 3,650 for the weight and 328 rwhp to get a 7.91 in the 1/8th. No, this isn't the gospel, but it should be close.

also, I tried this one and used some of my '68 Camaro #'s, and I came up within .03 seconds of the 1/4 mile time I ran that day.

Well with all those mods maybe about 450rwhp.( Dont forget the SLP cold air adds almost 60rwhp.)
