    Good Deal or Pass

I have a sport bike worth $3500 and have the chance to trade for a 98 z28 with 180000 miles with an automatic Trans , it's in good shape I'll post a pic. It needs an outer tierod end ac belt hatch shocks, and rear brakes. It has a very small spot of rust where the hatch rests. This would not be a daily driver just something my kids and I can enjoy. It also has new tires, flex plate torque converter, fuel pump, front brake calipers and rotors, slp lid and magnaflow exhaust. Ok I don't know how to post a pic.

Depends if the 180000 was an easy well maintained or run hard put away wet. The ls engines will easily do 200000 if maintained well. But your definitely looking at all rubber needing replaced in the suspension if it hasn't. If the body and interior are in good shape then for 3500 that's a fun weekend project imo.

Sounds like a good deal. You should replace both inner and outer tie rods at the same time. It's pretty cheap to do, the biggest expense will be an alignment afterwards.

If the rest of the car is in good shape, the high miles wouldn't bother me at all. You can swap out an engine in a weekend if it does decide to expire.
