    i just did exactely that swap and didn't have any problems, even had a slightly higher pressure reading. used an additive like mentioned in my girlfriends explorer, that stuff stayed in for like 200 miles. from how the oil looked, it did something...

    Well guys I did it. I switched back to 5w30 the stock oil weight, and used an additive to clean it out before changing it. My oil pressure is reading perfectly fine now so that gives me reason to believe that it was my oil pressure sending unit. Thanks to everyone that helped!!!
    2000 Arctic White trans am, ws6 hood, ws6 air box, slp lid, slp smooth bellows, slp loudmouth exhaust,shift kit, rebuilt trans, LS6 intake, 3.73 gears, Shaner S3 p/p throttle body, and a tune . SFC. C6 ZO6 rims 18" in back 17" in front. Drilled and slotted rotors.
