Gauges don't work in v6 to v8 swap...
My friend is looking at a camaro 93-97 and the gauges don't work. Could be a sign someone cut some corners, but what would need to be done?
It had the v6 but they swapped in an LS1.

perhaps the body control module? did he do anything with that? the v6 car has different instrumentation and the bcm integrates all that with the sensors, or at least thats what i gather from this link.

Ugly car.. But if they neglected to swap out the v6 cluster to a v8 cluster it will not work properly...

always dirty- 2013 Ram 2014 Caddy ATS
Sounds like the car is messed up and the owner is trying to dump it. For that price he can get a nicer lt1 or ls1 car that hasn't been messed with.

the gauges probably dont work because the lt1 gauges are made for an lt1 or very early ls1 computer with an analog signal the new ls1 computers 99-up send a digital signal to the cluster meaning he needs a different cluster there a writeup on tech on how to do it but i'm not allowed to post the link here
