What mods you have and what are your plans?
With your yr I'd recommend a water temp gauge. 98's are the only yr that they have an accurate gauge while all following yrs do not.
For me I'm getting a fuel pressure gauge, AEM wide band, and oil temp and a Tach with shift light.

I thought about it but i fly cut the pistons 100 thousands on the intake to allow for a bigger cam (G5X4) in the future. Will NO2 affect the flycutting?

Your wide band already covers fuel pressure for the most part. I really don't see what else you "need" since you're a M6. If you were an A4, I would say trans temp gauge. If you don't trust the OEM gauges, get an oil pressure gauge.

Not sure which one. On my 98 I have actual temp readings and on the others I believe it is a generic color code like green = >160 yellow = 180* range, and red = 220* range. <<I'm not 100% sure that is what it looks like, because to be honest I haven't looked at a 00-02 temp gauge in about 5 yrs.
This thread below can tell you most of the differences between the 98-02 yrs.

Temp gauge on the 01/02's has interval markings. There is 5 tick marks. Starts at 100 degrees, middle is 210 degrees and ends at 260 degrees.
