I believe they are a universal fuel line disconnect tool. Comes in various sizes. Show the pic to the counter guy and they'll walk you to it.

From what Ive been reading 98 has a different mounting style (something with valve covers) maybe someone could way in on this. Also I think 98's only have one fuel line 99 to 02 have 2 cut outs for 2 lines. do you know from what year Ls1 these are? If you think about not useing them pm me if thay are for 99 and up ls1 I would be intrested. Check with Afterthought listing on ebay thay have some info there.

FRC's on a 98 in pic below with 2 fuel lines:

They mount the same as 99-02

Only mod I made was moving the wire harness on the drives side for the injectors from above the fuel line to underneath it. After I did that the FRC seated perfect.

Oh one more thing if you have TSB like me you will get lots of practice removing the TSB in order to get the FRC's off.

Not sure on how much will need trimmed, if any, once the secondary air is gone. You will need two holes for the fuel lines. If you need a center-to-center measurement, let me know.

It takes no time at all and who says you have to rush to do them. For the price it's worht getting them and sitting on them till you have time.

do me a favor take a pic so that I can see what exactly you got.

Fragile hell no, I used my dremel to cut mine but I also had the 2 notches already cut when I got mine.

There is a member here that does a professional job on these. I mean really great work is an understatement. I'll look him up and pm you his info. I won't lie, his work is worth the cost.

I've seen the work of the guy Scott is talking about. It looks outstanding.

Maybe he can provide you the template or info on how to cut it.

Jeff also said he's be willing to measure it for you. I'd also keep them for that price.

Leo I picked mine up from ebay for $55, I spent $35 on paint, primmer and clear, also 600 & 1000 grit sand paper. I looked at pics and trimmed and test fit until I got them to sit properly. Then I primed, sand, paint, sand, paint again, sand, paint, then 2 coats of clear, light sand, 2 more coats of clear. Got the vinyl lettering from Afterthoughts.

Take your time, make small cuts. It took me 2 weeks doing it on my spare time and I know jack about painting. I had to read up on it and asked a few questions. Look at it this way if you do it and they turn out good , you'll be glad you did it yourself. If you get them done professionally you're looking at $200-$240

you can use the single "hole" as a pattern and then move it towards the front. If Jeff can't get you the measurements I'll try this wekend

ill be doing the sand work my self and the paint im taking it to my friends since he does air brush and stuff like that..
the passenger side doenst need to be modified right?
if a second hole doesn't need to be done, will be alot easier for me
