Fuel Pressure Test - Assistance Requested
For those with fuel pressure gauges installed in their cars, please do a quick test for me and post your results.
Energize your ignition and your fuel pump should run for approximately two seconds (do not start the engine). If the pressure reaches at least 55-60 psi, leave your ignition on for one minute and watch the pressure. According to the service manual, it should fall no more than 5 psi during this time. In the event your pressure did not hit the test range on the first try, turn the key off and try it again.
Post up what happens.

Key on engine off, pressure is at 53ish and drops to 48 after a minute. Turn key off and it stays around 45 for at least 10 min. This test was done on first prime of the pump and car was sitting for 2 weeks.

Pressure drops to zero within about 10 seconds after the pump stops running. It did it with both the stock pump and the new Racetronix setup. Per the diagnostic in the service manual it has to be one of three things: 1) a hose leaking; 2) a leaky injector(s); or 3) the regulator.

you still bleeding off to zero or are you just not getting as much pressure as before? I'm assuming you looked that hose over really well while you had it out? Only takes one small split.

It still drops pressure, but not as quickly. Has a new Racetronix pump and feed hose. I inspected everything closely last night and could not find any problems with the hoses on the pump and bucket assembly. I pulled it all back apart this morning as the replacement regulator only carried 52 psi. I had 60 psi with the stock regulator installed. Ugh.
