    fuel pressure regulator

I was wondering how to put a aftermarket fuel regulator on, the one in the tank blew apart and the plastic part that the stock regulator snaps into is messed up and i cant get it to seal anymore so can i just put a regulator on say the firewall or somthing like that under the hood and hook it to my return line? and would i need to hook up a vac line id rather do this then buy a new unit there isnt anything wrong with what i have besides the regulator

Are you running stock rails? If so, you're better off putting the aftermarket regulator in the rear of the car on the return line. Yeah, it's not the conventional way of doing it, but it should work.

Unless you're boosted, you won't need a vacuum line. That is only there to raise the fuel pressure with boost level...usually a 1:1 ratio.

Are you talking about the thing on the rail, which is not the regulator, but an equalizer, or the actual regulator in the fuel tank?
