Fuel gauge...
Ok well ive had my new f body a few months now and of course something random turns into something thats now a problem. Almost never did my check gauge light come on and stay on when the car was on or at least all it took was turn the car off and it went away. But recently it seems to be an issue no matter what i do. It all stems from one gauge, my fuel gauge. Whenever this gauge is below or at least close to the "E" mark it decides, "hey im gonna let you guess how much gas you have left good luck fker!"
So im planning on getting my car tuned and check for codes and stuff anyway by the end of the week if not next week but would anyone know what it could be and or how to solve it? Thanks its not the most important and critical thing in the world but its very annoying when the only way to get it to work is to put some more gas in. Thanks again all

Keep gas in the car.
The check gauges light doesn't turn on because of a code getting thrown by the computer. It has a set limit on each of your gauges in the dash. If it reaches that limit, the light will come on.

i know i know hilarious, but still it never did it until maybe sometime last month and i know i still have 3 or more gallons left but not being able to see how close that gauge is, is rather annoying. So can it be fixed or adjusted when i get the car tuned?

I don't believe so. As far as I know it has a set limit.
Only seen that light once myself. Was closer to 1.5 gallons left, but my float could be a little different.
I really don't know if that light can be turned off via tuner or not. I wouldn't think that it can be, but I haven't dug that deeply into HPTuners.

I've heard of people trying to make it read a little more accurate with tuning (EFI Live) but not shutting it off. Don't know why you want to go there though, I never let it fall below 1/4 - be kind to your fuel pump and it'll be kind to you.

Has anyone ever had an issue with the fuel gauge going wacky?
It seems to do this often but sofar this week I've put 150 miles on the tank and I started it today. Fuel gauge is on E and "Check Gauges" light comes on. Stop and restart the car and it shows half a tank.
It seems to be doing it every other tank or so, and I about the gauges stuff.
THX...
