Front Struts/ Rear Shocks?
I purchased new struts for my Camaro SS and was wondering if its really hard to replace them my self or would it be worth it to have them installed? Ive never done struts and i have read the manual and it seemd a bit tricky? I do know i will need a alighnment afterwards. I called around and the dealer wants $350 for the labor and midas wants $130. Would it be ok if i got midas to do the labor or does it need the attention of the chevy dealer?
Also i replaced my rear shocks and my car still has a squeek when i drive it, espessially when i drive up my drive way.. what can i do to get rid of the squeek in the rear end?

The squeak may be the bushing in the control arms. I would let Midas do the install. Struts are a little tricky when it comes to the coils.

Black- '01 Camaro SS
Just had my Bilsteins on the front installed today, been sitting in the garage for 8 months. Did the rears myself, easy, but by the time I would have F###ed around rented the spring compressor, got the front end aligned----------Just don't have time.
It was $368.00 out the door with alignment & 4 wheel balance
BTW - Front end is stiff as a wedding d**k now What a difference!!

The squeek you hear is your spring insulators on the rear of the car. They need to be taken off and lubed and the squeek will be gone. I've always had a Camaro or Trans Am since 1982 and they all develop the annoying squeek after a few years. If you know how to take your springs off you can do it yourself. If you let the GM place do it, it will cost around $150
