    Front driver side blinker

Socket is rusted out and has all kinds of corrosion on it. Works sometimes.

Anyone know if I can get a new socket or do I have to replace the entire section of the cars wiring to get a new peice there???

both of my front blinkers did the same thing. all I did was I took the bulbs out and let them air dry, then I cleaned the sockets out really really good. then I went to advanced auto and bought some light bulb grease(thats what it is actually called) put it on the ends of the bulbs and eversince then I havent had any problems. try that, I think it should work. hope this helps!

cool, I am also going to use this advice since my passenger taillights are dim due to corrosion.

definately try cleaning as advised already, but in response to your question--yes you can buy the sockets. I ended up buying both front turn signal housings (mine were cracked letting the water in) and both sockets for under $100 at ABC. Straight forward install--just solder and heat shrink in leads from new sockets to car wiring.

If you get new lenses (which is a good idea, because you probably have leaks if your sockets are corroded) put a bead of silicone around the area where you'll see GM's gasket. The new lenses look so much better too, nice and clear, big difference over the old ones. Think I got em' both online for around 76 bucks. Went with those clear/silver Sylvania turn signals too.

I have my signals blacked out. I may pull them out and use some black silicone on them, but I don't think I need to replace them.

Plus, the only time they get wet is when I wash the car.
