He has a dsp2 tuner and his tranny went out in reverse on his gto.He was wondering that will it leave a footprint when he takes it out to take to the dealer ship to have it fixed. thay have too check it. to see if anything was done to his car that cause the problem with the tranny. will it still show up? its out now. Please help! thanks!

If it is under warranty they may void it if the computer is messed with. If he can tune it back to "stock" that would save him some headache, stealerships try to hang on to the money they got.
So untune everything and they will never know.

Hah! It just took you 7 seconds to circumvent many hours of meetings and "problem solving" by a team of design engineers at GM!

you like the simlicity in that? Kind of gives me a warm fuzzy feeling everytime you manage to trump the system's stupid laws.

I don't get why some systems kill themselves trying! Almost always a quick side step for people looking to the system.

I've been an engineer at a few places, and I know for sure at 2 places I've been we'd have found a way to get the Modders in "our system". Like examine the LT1 days and what everybody did. Then we'd have delayed the LS1 roll-out to get a few steps ahead of other companies (big expansion on the SLP co-op) and encouraged Modders to bring it to the lot for performance tunes and performance mods, many produced by GM and GM certified vendors! If you can't beat 'em might as well join 'em!

That's the kind of thinking they need, if they made it easier for everyone to do it legitimatley the gov might get some tax revenue out of it like everything else they do. Just think off all the tax dollars they lost on alchohol during the prohibition.
