MAF cleaner - I can't find the bottle. It came from Advanced Auto I think. Gray bottle with red letters. Someone else on here recommended it. Worked great.

    So!?

Whether or not the light is on is irrelevant. Any DTCs are still stored - unless you keep driving it and then they will clear.

But if the car is running fine and there is no light on do I really need to get it checked out? It's been off for close to a week now and the car has no problems. I'm usually one to ere on the side of caution, but if the car isn't warning me and it's running fine I feel no cause for concern.

Depending upon the DTC, after so many starts -- or warm up cycles -- where the problem is not repeated, the light will reset itself and the codes will clear. Some DTC's require 20-40 cycles if I recall correctly before clearing. If the problem repeats itself during this time, the pending code will then be set and the SES light will be triggered. That's my understanding of how it works.

OK thanks. I don't have the cash now, but after Christmas I'm gonna get everything checked out and get it tuned up just to make sure everything is ship-shape. There's a guy here in my town that really knows his way around a LS engines. I think it should be fine until then. Thanks for the help.
