Fram Xtended Guard....where do I get it?!?
So I've been following up on Sarge's oil posts and decided to go with the Fram Xtended Guard for my next oil change, which is due soon.
Only problem is NOBODY around here carries the Fram part #XGs anymore.
I tried Napa, National, Advance, Auto Zone and O'Reilly's.....nobody has in stock, nor can they order it for me from their distributors.
What the hell?
I heard Wally world is supposed to carry them, but haven't checked yet, either.
So is online the only way to get these damn oil filters?

Wally world has them.
Although I notice they don't have every application in the XG line though.

actually for the most part walmart is down sizing alot of there automotive sections, i work there as a manager in automotive. everytime there is a remodel there is less product down sizing equals less money and major fail on there part. try autozone or advance auto

Alright, I'll try Wally World, and if they just don't happen to carry the one I need, I'll use Amazon and just wait for them to get in.
Thanks everyone

Red- 2000 Chevy Camaro Z28
alert,,,
I bought one of these filters,,,and it did not fit my stock camaro,,,it was marked correctly,,,paint on marking and etched in markings near orifrice,
when I took it back,,we checked all others they had in stock,,,all were marked externally (painted on) with correct data,,,yet some were diff thread size and diameter...
I have had this issue on the mobil one filter as well.
Amazing the trash they produce these days,,,

We have three Wally World's here in town and only 1 of them has the extended Fram filter. Autozone also carry's them. I'd just call around before heading out!

All the XG filters here at Wally world are completely sealed with plastic around the box. So I don't think someone switching boxes would be a problem here unless you find one with the plastic torn or missing.

What do you expect...? Chinese workers can't read English, they don't know if they're putting the right filter in the right box...

Haha yeah I found the XG filter at Wally World and went ahead and bought 2, just in case next time I need it, they might not have it in stock. I haven't replaced the oil yet, however, so I'll see if it fits correctly on the Camaro like it's supposed to.
