    Easy, I beleive it's a 10mm socket to open the compartment under the bulb. Two bolts, then open the acces door and it's right there.

    Simple, just take off the cladding reach in and rotate the bulb to the left. Do the reverse with the new bulb and your done.

    So best to go underneath the car or from the top under the hood ?

    go underneath...much much much easier. 2 10mm bolts and just reach in, you'll see

    Is it necessary to raise up the car ?

    no need at all....here is a picture of the two 10mm bolts...just pull those out and the plastic guard with pull down
