    Flasher or socket?

My drivers side turn signal stays lit, on the dash and in the housing. I replaced the bulb and it worked for a week than stoppe dagain, replaced the bulb again and nothing, it just stays lit. The passnger side works fine, would that rule out it being the flasher? Could it be the drivers side socket is screwed up? I had them replaced before because of water damage, can't remember how long though. The bulb does light up in the socket though, it just won't flash when I put the signal on.

Sounds like a weak or bad ground on that one side.
Were your splices soldered & shrink wrapped or did you use butt connectors??

Ok.....but you stated that the sockets had been replaced because of water & questioned whether the socket could be bad.

OK sorry, I had the sockets replaced under warranty at the dealer a few years back. I didn't do the work myslef it was covered. Could the socket be bad even if the bulb still lights up in it and it flashes when the hazards are on?

I would first try another bulb ( cheap & easy if it's the culprit )
I know you tried a new one but you never know.....might hve been a bad batch.
    BTW....GE's suck
I always use Sylvania cause they're a little longer & keep from heating the socket too much.
A GE is a little shorter & I've had them melt the socket & crack the bulb when thy cool off. ( 3 separate times )
It really acts like a bad or weak ground there, that's why I asked about the connections.
I don't believe a flasher would give you that result, but electricity is as hard to figure as women at times!

Found out it's def NOT the flasher, as both sides would not work. The left side works, and when the hazards are on all the bulbs blink, including the drivers side front

put the lights on again and tried both turn signals and looked for differences and noticed 2 bulbs on the passenger side and only 1 lit on the drivers side. swapped them and it worked and happened to have a spare rear laying around
