Flasher?
So my left turn signal stopped working today. It just stays lit up. The rear light stays on but the front wasnt. Ok burned out bulb. Wrong. I took the bulb out and inspected it then stuck it back in. Now it lights up when I turn the headlights on but when I turn the turn signal on it just stays lit up. No flashing.

Its prob the connector/pigtail at the front bulbs. Water gets in there, and corrodes all. Ive done three swaps in 6 years. You can get the pigtails with connectors included from the dealership.

I stuck a test light in the socket and one side it lit up and the other didn't. I'm guessing the grounded side won't light up with a test light

it will if you put the test light to positive. Does the sockets look good? Make sure they are clean and the bulbs as well. You can try check with the test light at the wires before the plug. If it works then you know the sockets are bad. Very common problems in our cars.

The connections looked great. The car hardly if ever sees rain. I don't wash it very often either, so the inside of the housing stays bone dry. It doesn't make sense that the light itself now works but turn signals won't. I guess I'll try cleaning it tomorrow after work. I hope it's not a broken wire or something

does everything worked fine with the old flasher? why are you replacing it? it went bad? are the bulbs good? try this if you can: unplug the bulbs on the tailights and try it. If it works it sounds to me like the bulbs are too much for the flasher. which is kinda of rare for electronic flashers.
if the flasher went bad did you replace the turn signal one? there are 2 of them. it still doesn't make sense unless you have an open wire. Connect the test light to ground and check the cables behind the socket. turn the parking lights on and check for light on test light. turn the siganl switch and check for a light with test light on the opposite cable.

I haven't replaced the flashed yet I'm trying to rule out possibilities. I'll try what you told me tomorrow and post results

Welp it was just the dang bulb. Whew! On another note, is there an easy way to remove the side marker light housing? I unbolted the two bolts but it won't budge. I'm guessing it's clipped. I want to put on some clear side markers since I think they look sweet on NBM cars.

I thought there was only one screw holding them on. On mine anyway. Unscrew, then, there is a plastic tab on the other side. Just pull the screw side out a little, then slide it. You could paint them to match your body, and then just pull the bulbs out. I vht'd mine, and removed the bulbs. They look sweet that way.

No, a spray. You can get it at auto parts stores.
