I know that was in the oil change procedures for a certain model car with a remote oil filter( won't mention names) I been doing that for 20 years.

I totally agree with filling the oil filter before installing it, when possible. Building oil pressure more quickly is always a good thing.

I also use Lucas Synthetic Oil Stabilizer when I change my oil. I first used it when I replaced the pushrods, coated all the valvetrain components in Lucas as I installed them. It was quiet as can be on startup, before the oil pressure even went up. It helps eliminate dry starts by coating the metal surfaces, so hydrodynamic lubrication can occur even before oil pressure is in operating range.

The Cadillac Catera is the stupidest, worst car ever. I HATE WORKING ON THOSE POS. Fucking German engineering. Everytime I hear some say German engineering this and German engineering that I wanna punch them. The German engineered the Hinderburg for gods sake. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.......

my 2 cents...99% of oil filters are installed dry and the world still goes round and round. You're probablly not gonna add an extra 500,000 miles to your engines life by prefilling, so IMHO either way is fine.

The US congress has passed a new law: You are required by LAW to pre-fill oil filters, this is to help the environment and rising fuel costs. If you know of someone NOT pre-filling please call and report this crime at 800-EAT-SHIT. Thank you.

I called that number, nothing happened.
Seriously, filling the oil filter is better for a motor. But a motor isn't going to blow up if you don't. Everyone quit bitching and arguing and do what you want to do. If you want to fill, then fill. If you don't, then don't. I know I will, but that is just my .02

I couldn't get to the phone in time. Sorry.
Nobody is trying to convince nor debate to fill or not to fill.....the OP asked if folks filled or not thus you get the responses. No bitching and arguing.
Now I'm gonna go start a thread " What is the best exhaust system?"
