Red face A few general questions?

I have a 02 T/A & I am looking at some Pacesetter LT's ceramic coated w/ offroad y-pipe for $500 new in box. $30 to ship to my door. I have been shopping for some time now & think its a good deal? I also want to buy some lowering spring but understand there will be some clearance issues due to the headers. How much will I be able to drop the car? And why is it so hard to find the bulb sockets for the front turn signals? The dealer wants $79 a piece!! We all know the front lamps get cracks so water gets inside. My sockets are totaly shot. Anybody have a set they can sell?

I am thinking an inch drop would be safe for an F-Body with headers. There are other members who have experience with driving lowered F-Bodies with headers who will help ya out soon enough. As for the sockets, have you checked Pep Boys or Strauss or Auto Zone near you? You can also check out our sponsor GMPartsDirect for the sockets.

There is a header sticky in the external section where there are cheaper headers if you want to save a few bucks. The headers wont be the problem the pipe before the merge on the driver side is where the least amount of clearance is, and a cat loses a little more clearance on top of that. That said w/ a 1.3" drop (and cats) and 18" wheels I hardly scraped except on the nastiest of bumps which scream to be avoided anyway. Strano, bmr, eibach are the main choices(they also have reputation to sag after a while).

Thanks for the info. Made some calls & found the sockets for $55 each but most places said no. Even GMDirect didnt have them, just the rears.
