Favorite shifter from the 6 speed crowd?

    Time for a shifter.

So what is the favorite to use. The Pro 5.0? Hurst? Any others? Let me know where you got them from, quality, etc.....Thanks.

I like the stock hurst. Had a Pro 5.0 once and didn't like it. Went back to Hurst.

I noticed the pro 5.0 shifters have the side spring tension adjustable,,,,would be nice for my wife who would complain if too difficult,,,,
    Does the Hurst offer this?

That must be a new feature cause mine didn't have that. Mine actually was such weak tension it wouldn't center itself, just stay to the left.

How about the Hurst? Does it center? Not too hard to move?

friend of mine did the same thing, I personally don't care for the pro 5.0, I have a B&M Ripper and I love it!

Never missed a shift, it just has a nicer feel when shifting gears.

I know the pro 5.0 is the most popular and i am sure it is a great shifter, i just personally prefer the B&M.

Another vote for the Hurst Billet plus.

Yes the hurst has the ability to adjust the spring tension
I removed 2 of the 4 springs after I installed my LSS.
And most shifters will work with the factory knob.

Pro 5.0 here and I really love it. I have had B&M products in the past and they never let me down either.

Thanks for all the replies,,,,everyone seems to be torn between 3 brands. I may run to the local speed shop and check them out in person. Looks like I'll grab one next week after the Christmas holidays,,,,Thanks again,,,,Larry.

Well, my two favorites are the PRO 5.0 and the Hurst Billit Plus. If you go with the Pro 5.0, you will be able to use the factory knob. If you go with the Hurst, you will have to go with an aftermarket handle.
