Stock- 2002 Camaro
FAST question
ok so i have a quick question. for those of you who dont know my engine just hydro locked. now i just pulled my intake off and noticed that the bottom of it looks alittle warped. i guess i shouldnt say warped, its just up a little higher in the back. are they supposed to be like this or did my intake get effed? its not that bad but is it suppose to be %100 flat? Thanks

440 RWHP / 410 TQ- 2000 SLP CAMARO SS
How would that happen? Did the engine overheat extremly bad prior to it ceasing up? I know its plastic and all but I dont think it would warp unless it got extremly hot. I googled images but could not find a good pic of the back or bottom. I have one but its been a few years since I have seen it uninstalled. Sorry.

no not any amount of high heat. and like i said it might not be "warped". its just that close to the back it has like a curve just on the bottom. i dont think that its anything structural and i dont remember what it was like beofre i installed it even though it was only a month ago so i guess ill just put it back together after i finish painting it and give it a try. who knows. thanks for the input

there has been several cases of the floor of the fast "warping up" ppl have sent their fast back and fast has took care of the issue.

Those intakes can take upwards of 500* before they even show signs of warping. I know for a fact that a stock intake wont start to cave in until 550* All in the name of experimentation of course.
