Sebring Silver Metalic- 2002 Camaro Z28
Fast A/C Help Needed
Before I blow myself up in the drive way. Could some one tell me where the lower pressure port is on the A/C?
I have a guess that it is the port on the accumulator between the line on the left (guessing low side, and the line on the right (guessing high side).
Now i am measuring right and left as if i was standing on the passenger side looking into the engine area. left would run to the fire wall, and right would run to the front, the A/C manifold lines.
Basically I decided to spend 20 bucks on super seal to see if I can seal a small pin hole leak in my A/C manifold line. That's why i'm looking for the low pressure service port.
Thanks

It'll fit only only port, they are two different sizes.

ok, but did i describe the right port? if it doesn't fit i go to the store. if it does and i have the wrong port. i can blow up the can. personally i would like to avoid this. i too old for dumb jack ass stunts, lol.
i used to punch a small hole in spary paint or hair spray cans as a kid and light them on fire. fun at the time, but definitely not a bright idea.
any way is the low pressure port the covered nub on the accumulator between the to hoses?

Yeah those recharge kits only let you connect to the low side.

well i didn't blow myself up. i have my fingers crossed that the super sealer leak junk will work. the air blows cold and no leaks or drips so far.
thanks...

well, the Haynes manual gave lots of don't do that help. but all the pics were for a V6 model and never once said which port. I assumed the accumulator. I think the high side is that long tube that runs from the back to the front right next to the radiator.
too bad it wasn't a perfect seal. no drips so far, but this morning there was a very tiny amount of oil on the line. very tiny and very encouraging that this could help. i figure in a few weeks another shot of suer sealer may help.
