    Engine stumbling and sluggish

Withing the past couple of weeks my engine has started to stumble a little bit especially when its cold. By stumbling I mean it runs a little choppy and shakes the car more than usual. Sometimes when I first start it up it will immediately stall and I'll have to start again. Also, my gas mileage has gotten horrible. I drive less than 25 miles a day and never run the A/C but lately have been putting in $10 premium in every day. No check engine light at all. On top of everything else, it just doesn't pull like it used to....seems sluggish.

    Background info:
The past couple months I've been short and cash and have let the tank run reeeally low a few times. (mistake, i know) I have since changed the fuel filter though.

All I've done so far is change the air and fuel filter, and checked plugs 1-7....haven't had an opportunity to tackle #8 yet. Also, it seems plug wires 2 and 4 don't really make a distinct "click" when I push them on the plugs like the others do......don't know if that could be part of the problem but I would think a loose wire would trigger SES light???

Also has off road LTs so I know cats aren't the problem.

Any ideas on what to look for or check next? Is there any point in taking it to the local LSX specialist to have him hook it up to his computer?

Clean your Maf, What air filter are you running? A loose wire "should" cause a misfire, in turn Setting the SES light. But it may not.
    Has your car been tunned?

I recently cleaned the maf. I'm using a fram filter from checker. The car was tunned by frost (mail order) and ran great right after but has started acting up withing the past month or two.

I'm not really sure what logging is, but would my mechanic who has hptuners be able to see something other than a problem that would trigger the SES?

Logging is just hooking your car up to a computer that is capable of monitoring all the systems and viewing the paremiters. Its like a more expensive version of a scan tool. They should be able to take a look and if they know what there looking at can tell you exactly whats going on...

yeah, have him log it with hptuners. If he has experience with it he should be able to put you on the right track.
