engine light came on

I know this is a lsx forum but you guys have been helpful. So I was hoping you guys could help me with this problem. My wife's 2007 Hyindai Entourage Limited is now throwing codes. The codes are P0187x2, P0189x2 which is running lean at idle banks 1 and 2 I believe. It came on while she was leaving work sitting at a stop light. I was thinking maybe it's a vacuum leak. Any help would be appreciated.

Could be a vacuum leak. Try spraying some starting fluid around the engine compartment - vacuum hoses, intake, ect.. Try cleaning the MAF, if it has one, with some CRC MAF cleaner.

Im assuming its out of warranty?
could be a air leak check the clamp on the tb as Hyundai clamps are shit. also around the maf as well. there o2 sensors are notorious for craping out too.

How many miles? I agree with the above. I was going to mention about the O2 sensors as well.

Thanks guys, I was also thinking about the O2 sensors as mentioned, I will check out them and the vacuum leak as suggested. What is starter fluid? Will carb cleaner work or is that the same thing? Oh and it has 92,xxx miles on it.

Yes carb cleaner will work too you just need a flammable liquid that the.engine can burn

Alright cool I'll try that when I get a chance as we just had a snow storm. Also, if there is a leak in the area I spray what exactly am I looking for it to do? Stall or a rpm increase? Sorry I just have never done it this way before.
