    engine istalled, problem running

I put my engine in yesterday and got everything hooked up I think, but for some reason it doesn't want to stay running it will start for a second some times a couple more but then dies like it cuts off the spark. I've noticed that the fuel gauge and the rpm guage aren't working either. This is a rebuilt engine. Any pointers in which direction to go?

well I figured it out, one of the guys that was helping me didn't get the blue connector that's inside of the passenger side kick panel pluged in all the way and it came undone, so that problem solved, but now it sounds like I might have a vac. leak, I'm not for sure because I can't hear it over the exhaust, but my step dad seems to think he hears one. So any suggestions on where to start first? I reused the intake gaskets that was on there before, I kinda wonder about them. Suggestions please.

What's it hook into? and would it cause rough idling? Well I really don't know if it's rough idling or the cam, I went with the T-Rex from Thunder racing. But I will try that tomorrow.
