engine cutting out in low rpms

okay im fed up with sudden engine problems.... my car cuts out at low rpms, and idles funny, and runs like shit, any pointers?

how many miles on it? Mods? Anything else unusual going on? That's a pretty vague description. Could be plugs and wires, when was your last tune up? Could be O2 sensors....could be several things. If the plugs and wires have a bunch of miles on them I would probably start there.

just changed the plugs and wires, accept for the last 3 plugs on the passenger side. im taking it in to get tune and the last 3 plugs on. i have headers, y-pipe no cats, slp lid and k&n filter, i was stupid and took the screen out of the maf... bad mistake. when i take of from a start, it cuts out like a misfire... ad when i slow down and pull to a stop the engine idles at about 400-500 rpms, and it is very rough.

its the maf, my brothers ws6 had the same problem. he still had a screen on his though. all he did was clean it and it was better. you might think about getting a used maf and trying it.

If it's running like that, you should have some codes popping up, go get them diagnosed at the nearest Autozone and tell us what you come up with. My bet would be O2 sensors, as I just replaced the second one in 6 months Sunday, and my car was acting the same way, plus backfiring like crazy when I let off the gas in gear (M6)
