    engine boggs down HELP PLZ!

    my 1994 thunderbird is having problems accelerating. when i push down on the pedal the rpms go up, but then it boggs down so i have to ease into the pedal to get any accelration.

    Sounds like a fuel problem to me... Fuel filter maybe ??? Dry gas additive ?

    +1.. I would replace the filter and fill your tank up almost full and run some lucas complete fuel system cleaner through it. Helped out bogging/ hesitation issues in the T/a

    94 T-Bird? You're talking to GM people here but I may be able to help. More info would help all of us.

    Do you think the transmission might be slipping?
    Does the engine hold RPM or does it start to fall on it's face when it gets some load on it?

    cat might be plugged up but usually that's just a lack of power situation. Might be something to look at though.
