Emergency brake release button popped out

Recently the release button on the emergency brake handle popped out. Anyone familiar with the inner workings of this??

If i remember correctly on the side of the handle towards the bottom of the leather wrap there is a allen key holding on the leather portion, pull out the allen bolts and slide the leather cover off the handle, its gonna take some time and pulling. Once removed you should see the spring, although if it broke you can pick up a new handle assembly fairly cheap...
