    Electrical problems

Recently my gauge designating battery charge has been on the fritz. Anything above idle (about 500rpm) the needle goes to 18+ volts. This sets off the brake light, abs, asr, check gauges, air bag light. Haven't gotten the chance to check out a multimeter but hope to do so soon. Anyone have any experience on this?

It definitely sounds like a an alternator problem.

I'd take it off and head up to the autoparts store and get it tested to make sure.

That guage isn't 100% accurate, but driving your car with the electronics overloaded is a very bad idea. Let alone it could ruin the battery as well.

    It was the voltage regulator.
