    egr block off plate

    does anybody know what the dimensions are for the egr block off plate....i forgot my template and i need to make this part at work....i drove my car to work and dont wanna drive it back with out the plate....i think it will mess something up, it sounds nasty with out the plate.....

    I'll go and measure mine in a minute, I did the same thing as you! Took the EGR off at work and made some block off plates out of aluminum plate. I'll go out there and check, be right back.

    O.k., the intake block off plate measures:

    2-3/4 long with the holes drilled 2-1/4
    and a width of 1-1/2


    The header plate measures:

    1-1/2 wide by 2-1/2 long with the holes drilled
    2" apart.


    Hope this helps, BTW the holes are 7/16's on both plates

    awsome help, would u happen to know what it is for the egr one, passanger header, down below, by the alternator, and starter?????i think the dim's u gave me are for the air plugs, and the intake plug.....thanks alot for the help

    All of my AIR stuff is still on the car, that plate is the forward most one in the front on the passenger side next to the a/c compressor. I only took off the EGR tube from the header to the intake manifold, I need to take that AIR crap off too but I will later. It's the right specs for a 98, I wouldn't do you wrong man! Hope this helps, if you need a pic of the plates I can snap one to show you exactly what I'm talking about. Your check engine light will come on after this stuff is removed so be sure to have it deleted out! Good luck
