Drivers side key lock isn't working
I have an 86 iroc with the electronic locks option. The other day I locked my keys in my car and had to use a slim jim (Drivers side) to get it open. Now the key will not work, instead of the key unlocking the door with a 45 degree turn towards the front of the car, the key now moves freely 90 degrees to the front and rear of the car with no tension. I can still lock and unlock the drivers side door using the electric switches and the manual slider in the door panel, but if I'm outside the car and it's locked, I have to unlock the passenger door and then hit the switch to unlock the drivers side. Do you think I might have pulled the wire off the key lock housing when using the slim jim?

Its very possible that you dis conected somthing from the inside, more than likely you dislodged the bar that works the lock from the key.
