DRIVER window help
ok here's what's goin on, when i push the button for the window to go down it will only go down about a 1/4 inch and then stop, and only move again after about 5 min and again only a 1/4 to 1/2 inch at a time. the passenger window works just fine. I'm thinking it is the window switch. I took it apart and was not able to see any exposed or cracked wires. And I don't have a test light here any ideas????

I just bought the drivers side motor today from AutoZone $54.99 + tax, mine is completely dead. My passenger side is pretty much always been slow; will installing the autotrix ix on the passenger side really make a difference? I plan on replacing the drivers side tomorrow sometime, since my window has not worked since last winter- I feel no hurry; I guess I just got used to it not working.
I am going to use the below sticky for he motor replacement, you may want to give it a try: window motor http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83072002 Onyx Black Camaro SS, m6, SLP Cold Air Induction, SLP Lid, K&N Air Filter, SLP 160 Stat, SLP MAF Type B, Y-Pipe Dual Cat, Out & Tip Exhaust, SFC, STCB, PHB w/HCA's, Rear Lower Skip Shift Harness, Hyper-Tech LS1 Power Programmer.

YES, installing the Auto Trix passenger window fix will make a huge difference. I installed it and it is now faster than the driverside and it wasn't hard to do. I have been through two F-Bodys and I have been through my share of window motors and this kit will elliminate burnt out motors.

Just got done replacing the motor and tested it out before closing everything back up and the only thing is that the window does not go up all the way and completely seal. There is a small gap still left to go...any ideas on how to fix? So far it's taken me about an hour and 15 minutes...remember I'm a first timer...

Thanks for the info on our kits guys!
If you replaced the motor on the driver side and it still is not going all the way up I would recommend greasing the tracks. That will help out a small issue like that with a brand new motor.
